The sculptures above are made from paper mâché. Each one begins with a rough sketch, followed by a simple structure built from cardboard or foam. I layer on Celluclay, let it dry, sand it smooth, and repeat the process until the surface is perfectly even. Once finished, I coat the piece with gesso, then paint it with multiple thin layers of acrylic for rich, vibrant color.
